Dr. Dayton L. Alverson :: Senior Scientist (retired)
Dr. Alverson, the founding partner of NRC and its senior scientist, is widely regarded as one of the world's most capable scientists working in fisheries resource management, policy and population dynamics. He has held a large number of national and international leadership positions over his extensive career including the directorship of National Marine Fisheries Service, director of the Northwest and Alaska Fisheries Center and executive director of the Fisheries Management Foundation, a non-profit private foundation dedicated to supporting fisheries research. Currently retired, he continues to be sought after for his broad expertise, reputation and unique knowledge in a variety of local, regional and global fisheries issues.
